Scott Gist
CEO
Scott is a dynamic professional with extensive small business experience. Initially educated as an automotive tradesperson, Scott’s natural business acumen saw him graduate from James Cook University with a Degree in Economics, mastering in small business.
Following university, Scott was employed in the public sector with Queensland Treasury which afforded Scott the opportunity to excel as a professional Economist.
Scott’s strong business acumen led him to commence his own automotive repair business in 2005 and his first training academy in 2010.
In 2015, Scott and his long term business colleague Gary, commenced a new training academy, Brisbane Professional College specialising in the delivery of Business and Automotive courses. The City Campus of BPC is located at Level 5, 67 Astor Terrace Spring Hill Brisbane. In response to the demand for automotive courses, BPC utilises Scott’s long term successful automotive repair business, Supreme Automotive, located in the inner Brisbane west industrial suburb of Seventeen Mile Rocks Brisbane as the practical training facility for international students studying to become an Automotive Technician.

Gurpreet (Gary) Badesha
Principal
Gary has extensive experience within the automotive repair and business sectors both locally and internationally. AS a qualified automotive technician, Gary spent most of his post trade years developing further skills within the automotive industry with a strong focus on small business development.
Further to the automotive studies, Gary was educated in a range of business and management disciplines which enabled Gary to secure high ranking managerial roles in a range of organisations, including his first Trainer and Assessor role in 2014.
During 2015, Gary was instrumental in the foundation of a new business training facility in Brisbane with his colleague Scott which saw the commencement of Brisbane Professional College which offers courses to both domestic and international students.

Ellen Gist
Financial Controller
Ellen has worked in a range of senior administration roles in both the public and private sector before undertaking training as a Book Keeper. After many years of maintaining the financial accounts of various small businesses, it was natural for Ellen to join Brisbane Professional College as the Financial Controller.

Nicolaas Westhuizen
Trainer/Assessor
Nicolaas holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Senior Phase and Further Education and Training). He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce along with his TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Following graduation, Nicolaas undertook his apprenticeship with Mooiriver Motors (Mercedez Benz and Honda Dealership) and is a qualified Automotive technician.
Nicolaas has been involved in the vocational training industry since 2012 delivering business and automotive qualifications. Nicolaas is a valued member of the BPC team as he has a wealth of experience to share with our students.
Geoff Graham
Trainer / Assessor
Geoff Graham has recently joined our team as an Automotive Trainer and Assessor. He has had an extensive Industry background from an apprenticeship with European & Leyland Dealerships, various Automotive Repair facilities and owned and operated an Automatic Transmission Repair facility in Nth Qld for 30 years. Geoff comes to us from the IAME (Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers) where he was State Operations Manager for Qld for the last 9 years, delivering Training and Assessments and conducting Air Conditioning Accreditations across Queensland.
