This qualification is for people who want to gain the skills and knowledge required to perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of light vehicles in the automotive service and repair industry. The Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology prepares new employees or recognises and develops existing workers performing mechanical work in the automotive light vehicle service and repair industry.
This qualification is suitable for new entrants seeking an Australian apprenticeship or international students who wish to study in Australia and develop skills and knowledge within the automotive repair industry.
International Students studying this qualification with BPC will be required to attend practical training and assessment at the College’s Practical Training Facility, located at Supreme Automotive.

All classes are scheduled face to face. Assessments are conducted electronically during the scheduled classes and are a variety of written theory questions (underpinnning knowledge), case scenario simulation and practical observation.

Hand Tools + Textbooks + Safety Shoes - $ 1,150 (Students may source these items themselves or through BPC). It is not a course requirement for students to purchase their own hand tools as these are provided to students during the practical classes for training use only. Hand tools are only required to be purchased if students want to use their own hand tools during classes or outside of the scheduled practical classes. Students must purchase the required textbooks, Automotive Mechanics Vol 1 & 2 (9th ed) by May & Simpson and safety shoes.
